I am a hip Southern girl who followed my heart to the Far North of Alaska seeking adventure. I became a teacher of young children and moved to the remote wilderness of Alaska. It was in the classroom, that I observed children's fascination with mobiles. I also discovered how mobile making increased children's understanding about balance and the movement of air and light.
After receiving a Masters of Education in Early Childhood Education and having a child of my own, I decided a mobile for the nursery was in order. I designed a mobile for my baby using photographs of family members near and far. The gentle motion of the mobile soothed my son and the photographs were not only visually stimulating, but very fun for conversation. And this is how balancebaby Photo Mobiles was born.
